History: Started in 1946 with just a few core branches, it expanded rapidly under the leadership of Sri B.S. Narayan. It was granted academic autonomy by the UGC in 2008 and is currently one of the most sought-after technical institutions in the country.

Admissions & Eligibility
Admission Process
For UG Engineering, seats are allotted via centralized counseling conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA for Karnataka students) and COMEDK (for all-India students). A percentage of seats are reserved for Management/NRI quota, filled directly based on academic merit. For PG, admissions are processed via state counseling (PGCET) or direct screening for national exam qualifiers. -> Document Verification -> Payment of Fees.
